CMP Tech is looking for a highly motivated Senior Web Developer with strong backend skills to join a small, hard-working team in redesigning our payment system. You will need to be familiar with AWS technologies, have a strong background in PHP & SQL, have architectural/design experience, and be willing and able to teach team members new skills.

  • Design, develop, and maintain new features in our product
  • Advise on architecture, tooling, and improving performance and scalability
  • Develop unit, functional, and integration tests
  • Be involved in the full software development life cycle
  • Actively participate in code reviews
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation


  • 5-7 years of experience in web development (backend)
  • Experience with source control tools (we use git)
  • Excellent communication skills – written & verbal
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented design patterns and principles
  • Strong PHP and SQL skills
  • AWS experience (EC2, SQS, Lambda, etc)
  • Experience working in high traffic environments
