TeamCMP is looking for a Junior Financial Controller to join our growing Finance team in Barcelona!

We are looking for a Junior Financial Controller reporting to the Senior Financial Controller to participate in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.


Responsibilities

  • Support in accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost
  • Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Support on the preparation and publishing timely monthly financial statements
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial reports
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and
  • strengthen internal controls
  • Ability to grasp the business model quickly and gain a deeper understanding of the cost and revenue drivers

Requirements

  • Bilingual level in both Spanish and English. (all C-level are native English speakers)
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or similar
  • 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive attitude
  • Able to work in a dynamic work environment, understanding the growth stage in an organization, and associated cost-benefit analysis regarding structure, processes and risk
  • Roll up the sleeves and get it done attitude

Desired Skills:

  • Audit experience (preferable Big 4)
  • US GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge
  • International experience working and living outside of Spain
  • Experience with the business model (e-commerce)
  • Experience in “tech” / digital space
